The Rise And Fall Of The Songwriter” features an international collaboration by musicians from various corners of the globe. Helge Rognstad is fronting The Fluffy Jackets as chief songwriter, guitarist and vocalist. LA-based guitarist Matt Bradford contributes his distinct fuzz-infused lap steel work to the tracks “The Well Is Dry” and “I Think Too Much.” Scottish guitar virtuoso Liam Creedon adds his talents to the heartfelt ballad “Now That She Is Gone.” Vocalist Leif Knashaug from Norwegian rockers The Halloween Project provides duet vocals on the haunting tribute to Manny Charlton (Nazareth) in “Ship Of Dreams.” The songs are backed by a formidable rhythm section featuring Neil Murray (Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Gary Moore) on bass and Matija Bajtal (Croatian drum sensation) on percussion.
“The Rise And Fall Of The Songwriter” marks a major milestone in The Fluffy Jackets’ 18-year career, as Helge Rognstad has stepped into the producer role, following in the footsteps of legendary producer Manny Charlton (Nazareth) who helmed the band’s first two albums.
