Liam Creedon a talented guitarist and lap steel musician from Aberdeen, UK, began his musical journey in 1996. Initially taught by local guitarist Daniel Small in Dunfermline, Liam continued his lessons until 1998. From 1998 to 2003, he was self-taught, developing his own style and passion for music. His skills flourished further under the mentorship of Scottish jazz legend Scott Cruickshank, deepening his appreciation for the art. Liam has also expanded his musical knowledge by attending seminars, including sessions led by Les Nemes of Haircut 100 fame.
Through these experiences, Liam has cultivated a unique musical style and a profound understanding of the craft, contributing to his dynamic presence in the music scene.
With an innate passion for music from a young age, Liam’s journey began with humble beginnings, strumming his guitar in his room and immersing himself in the mesmerizing sounds of Pink Floyd’s “The Wall.” This early fascination laid the foundation for Liam’s enduring dedication to the art of music.
As Liam’s guitar skills blossomed, so did his desire to connect with others through music. In 2003, he was invited to a one-on-one workshop with members of The London Symphony Orchestra, where he gained invaluable experience in improvisation.
Transitioning into his teenage years, Liam’s musical horizons expanded as he delved into various genres and projects. In 2017, he deepened his commitment by establishing his own music school and shop, Amped Up Guitar School, in collaboration with Rotosound. This endeavor underscored his steadfast dedication to music education and nurturing the next generation of musicians.
Despite his teaching commitments, Liam remained deeply entrenched in the music scene, collaborating and producing with various bands and artists across Scotland.
